New Mexico has HUGE trees in the bosque.


She loves roller coasters! So did I, until we got to the Tilt-a-Whirl. I turned green after that one and Grace was on her own again.


Tea cup fun...although I think she's starting to think she needs to move up to the next step in rides. And she can! She was above the 42" requirement for them!


This is at school. The 2nd graders have reading buddies in Kindergarten. This is Grace's reading buddy. She's a very sweet little girl.


Enjoying a good book. She loves animal survival books. Dolphin Adventures was a great one for anyone out there with young readers (or some to come).

Second Grade!

First day of second grade! She wasn't very thrilled to be there but so far she likes her teacher.


Something lost; something gained. She lost both front teeth within one week. We found out Friday she needed a slight correction to her vision for school, so we went shopping and she picked out her glasses.

Made it through the first week of school and ready for the weekend!

Well, it's June 20, 2008, one year and one day since my last post. Not too bad, eh? Grace has completed 1st grade and has been swimming the summer away. She told me today she is NOT ready for school to start. I never was either when I was in school, so I understand. However, we're hoping for a good year.

In case you didn't know, Grace is hugely into Pokemon. She knows all the characters, what they're capable of and even makes up characters of her own. I made up my own Pokemon too, much to the amusement of Leo, but Grace doesn't appreciate my humor. (His name is Eggplick. If you'd like to know his special talents, just ask!

Anyway, I'll try to update more than once a year. Thanks for all the gentle nudges. Here are a few pictures from the last year.
